The NADvigators Podcast – Navigating the American Dream
Hosted by
Bassey Simon

Welcome
Thank you for your willingness to share your story on the NADvigators platform. Your experience adds depth, insight, and practical wisdom to the growing body of knowledge we’re building for the NADvigator community.
As promised, this guide outlines how the interview will flow so you can feel prepared, relaxed, and confident.
1. The Introduction (Opening 2–3 Minutes)
When we begin recording, please open with the following (or something close to it):
“Hello NADvigators, my name is [YOUR NAME]. You’re listening to The NADvigators Podcast – Navigating the American Dream with Bassey Simon. Today, I’m sharing my NADvigating story. Enjoy.”
After your intro:
- I’ll formally welcome you
- Highlight key facts about you
- Read your 50–100 word bio
- Invite you to fill in the gaps and expand naturally
This is where the conversation truly begins.
2. Your Journey (Core of the Interview)
Purpose:
This conversation is designed to feel like two friends having a thoughtful, honest coffee chat. The interview is guided by flow—not rigid scripting.
Questions will move through five domains of self-discovery, helping tell your story fully. I’ll ask prepared questions and natural follow-ups based on your responses.
This section forms the heart of the episode.
3. Comical Moments (Light & Human Segment)
At one point, we’ll pause for a lighter moment. You may be asked to share:
- A funny or awkward moment from your early days in the U.S.
- Unusual or outrageous advice you received
- Common or annoying questions Americans asked you
- Any cultural moment that still makes you laugh
This segment helps listeners connect with you on a human level.
4. Sample Exploratory Questions
(These guide the conversation—you don’t need to prepare answers for all of them.)
- What timely advice or strategy would you share with the NADvigator Nation today?
- What single decision or habit most contributed to your success in America?
- Tell us about a major obstacle you faced when you first arrived in the U.S.
- What opportunities did those obstacles create for your personal growth?
- Were those influences mostly positive, negative, or both?
- What did you do to develop personal mastery in your life or career?
- What lessons did you learn from a family member, friend, or early host?
- Did you experience the “single-story syndrome” during your journey? How did it shape you?
- What is your personal recipe for success? Let’s break down the key ingredients.
- What beliefs or habits did you have to unlearn to succeed in America?
- What cultural values did you keep that contributed to your success?
- Looking back, was migrating to America the right decision for you? Why or why not?
- What regrets, if any, do you have?
- If you were speaking to new immigrants today:
- What 3–5 recommendations would you give them?
- What 2–3 pitfalls would you urge them to avoid?
5. Grand Finale – One More Thing
We’ll wrap up with:
- A final piece of guidance, encouragement, or inspiration
- Resources or tools listeners can use to sharpen their compass
- How people can connect with you
This is where you may:
- Share a free resource or gift
- Talk about what you’re currently working on
- Promote something meaningful (briefly and authentically)
- Shout out someone who played a key role in your journey
Final Notes
- Please reflect on these themes ahead of time
- There are no “right” answers—authenticity matters most
- Bring a glass of water, relax, and enjoy the conversation
I’m truly honored to facilitate this interview and help share your NADvigating story with the world.
Thank you for your openness, your wisdom, and your willingness to contribute to the NADvigator Nation.
Warm regards,
Bassey Simon
